Service Manager, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

Full Time (FTE 40 hours) – Competitive Salary.

Temporary Role – Maternity Leave Cover.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Public Health Service Manager to manage our Integrated Lifestyle Service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to cover a period of maternity leave. This role requires you to be responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Lifestyle Service and to ensure its two localities work effectively together. This is a critical role to ensure the successful implementation, management, development and continuous improvement of this exciting service.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team in locations across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to help improve the health and wellbeing of local communities through delivery of dynamic and integrated solutions. The service offers programmes for children, young people and adults and includes Health Trainer, Weight Management, Stop Smoking, National Child Measurement Programme, NHS Health Checks, Falls Prevention and Behaviour Change training.

The service has recently been re-tendered and from the 1st October will grow in size, with delivery from this date being across both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This role will be pivotal in the smooth transition process.

  • Public Health service management, delivering and leading community based prevention and treatment services to a high quality.
  • Leadership of diverse professional groups, providing strong and effective direction and management.
  • Implementation, assurance and management of services with specific, demonstrable health outcomes.
  • Outcomes focused
  • Oversight of evidence based health improvement and public health programmes within whole population communities.
  • Partnership working and community engagement.

Locality Manager, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.  2 x Posts to cover North and South areas.

An exciting opportunity is available for two experienced Health Managers to join our team and manage our Peterborough and Cambrideshire Integrated Lifestyle Service, North and South localities. The Locality Manager’s key responsibility is to support the Service Manager in being accountable for the successful implementation, delivery and development of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Lifestyle Service, taking responsibility for the relationships, activity and outcomes in the designated locality.

The service offers programmes for children, young people and adults and includes Health Trainer, Weight Management, Stop Smoking, National Child Measurement Programme, NHS Health Checks, Falls Prevention and Behaviour Change training.

The service has recently been re-tendered and from the 1st October will grow in size, with delivery from this date being across both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The post holder will:

  • Provide a leadership role in the planning, development, implementation and co-ordination of the Integrated Healthy Lifestyle service and its component parts across Peterborough, Fenland and Huntingdonshire.
  • Support the development and implementation of a whole system, service wide community engagement strategy, to target specific groups, in particular those in areas of greatest need, to tackle inequalities in health through promoting and supporting people to develop healthier behaviour and lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure for the designated locality, robust, effective and efficient delivery of all service KPIs, to achieve contractual, operational and financial targets.
  • Identify and support the Service Manager to secure best value for money in delivery and continuous improvement in the provision of services to achieve Everyone Health’s corporate and business objectives.
  • Use evidence based best practice and innovation to achieve high quality, excellent patient/client services.
