Physical Activity Classes

Upping the amount of physical activity you do each week is a fantastic way to help you lose weight and, as a result, improve your overall health and wellbeing.

Staffordshire County Council has teamed up with Everyone Health to support you in losing weight and getting more active. We are providing weekly group exercise classes for Staffordshire residents aged 50 and over who meet a certain criteria and live in one of the 52 identified wards.

The classes are social in nature and are run by fully qualified instructors, who provide 45 minutes of physical activity instruction and 45 minutes of nutrition advice every week. The physical activity sessions usually consist of circuits classes, which give you the chance to try a number of different activities over numerous sessions.

Weekly Health Walks

We also provide weekly health walks, designed to get you more active and help improve your fitness and health at the same time.

These walks are led by fully-trained walk leaders and last between 30 minutes and one hour, giving you the chance not only to get out and get active, but also to meet new people, helping improve your social life at the same time.

As well as being good for your physical well-being, helping you to lose weight and improve your fitness, these health walks are also great for your mental wellbeing.

Held weekly, these walks are fantastic for getting you out and about, meeting new people and getting healthier – both in body and in spirit.
