What is it?

Your Shape is a 12-week adult weight management programme that’s been put together to help all those with a BMI above the healthy limit lose weight and keep it off. It’s designed to assist everyone with their health and weight loss targets.

Delivered by a team of nutritionists and physical activity specialists, Your Shape sessions aim to help service users lose weight permanently by making small but significant changes to their lifestyle, avoiding unrealistic and gimmicky diets.

Each session will focus on a different nutritional topic to help educate, inform and empower service users in how to permanently alter their lifestyle for the good. In addition to advice and education on how to improve their diet, service users will also be given a bespoke home-based exercise regime. This is tailored to each individual’s needs and restrictions in order to burn fat, build and tone muscle before strengthening the stomach area.

Over the 12 week programme, Your Shape will explain to service users why diets don’t work and the reasons behind so-called ‘quick fixes’ often failing. All the messaging is realistic, honest and achievable, with all service users completing a health check with the team. This won’t just focus on weight, but on body fat and waist measurements too, to create a truly holistic and 360 degree picture of your health.

Although the initial programme last for 12 weeks, support continues beyond this point to help service users continue their journey towards a healthy weight. Everything within the Your Shape programme has been designed with pregnancy and the post-natal period in mind and, under these circumstances, additional support is available.
