Communities in Wisbech are being encouraged to improve their health and wellbeing by joining in with a day of free family fun.
Everyone Health offers support for local people looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle and is hosting a family fun day on Saturday 19th August at Wisbech Community House. The aim of the day is to showcase the lifestyle support available to people in Wisbech and across the rest of Cambridgeshire.
There will be a wide range of activities on offer from 10am-3pm, including:
- Exercise taster sessions
- Weight management advice
- Blood pressure advice
- A host of children’s activities, including face painting and interactive games.
Everyone Health offers an inclusive service for families. The Changepoint Service offers dietary advice and exercise sessions to children aged seven – 11 and their families to help them maintain a healthy weight and improve their wellbeing. The sessions run by Everyone Health’s specially trained staff, are fun, interactive and available in Wisbech and the rest of the county.
Everyone Health works of behalf of Cambridgeshire County Council to help people in the community improve their health and wellbeing by delivering free support and lifestyle services. It supports children, young people and adults across Cambridgeshire to make informed decisions about food and exercise, with the ultimate aim of helping them lead healthier lifestyles.
Val Thomas, Consultant in Public Health at Cambridgeshire County Council, said: “The Fun Day aims to show how making simple changes to our lives can make improvements to our health. There will be lots of fun activities to try and the team from Everyone Health will be on hand to provide advice and information too. I’d encourage everyone to come along to the fun day – there really is something for all the family whatever your age.”

It will give us the opportunity to showcase all of the fantastic services we offer for the local community, and colleagues will be on hand throughout the day to offer advice and support to anyone who is struggling with a health concerns, such as high blood pressure, obesity or diabetes.
“We are dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive service that offers people the education they need to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.”
