An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Nutritionist with a passion and specialist interest in weight management. This role will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of an integrated Lifestyle Service delivered across Cambridgeshire. This community-based, multi component service brings together a range of different programmes under one Countywide Lifestyle Service, centred on supporting residents to lead healthier lives.

Playing a pivotal role within this service, you will be responsible for providing high quality patient-centred, timely and cost-effective care within Tier 2 services working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team. Providing expert nutrition advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, you will support children, young people and adults across Cambridgeshire to make informed decisions in relation to their weight, contributing towards a healthier lifestyle.

We would like to hear from you if you are experienced in:

  • Delivering high standard nutritional care and advice within a community-based, weight management service.
  • Delivering one to one and group interventions, for adults and children who are obese, with potential co-morbidities / complex needs.
  • Delivery of specialist care and treatment in health and community settings, with a minimum 2 years’ experience.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • And have current registration with the Association of Nutritionists or BDA

These roles will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of a Lifestyle Service delivered across Cambridgeshire. This community-based, multi component service brings together a range of different programmes under one Countywide Lifestyle Service, centred on supporting residents to lead healthier lives. The Lifestyle Service offers a personalised care package for adults and children, including families, with a focus on those overweight or obese, providing psychological support, increasing physical activity and advice on maintaining a balanced and healthy diet.

Playing a pivotal role within the service, you will be responsible for providing high quality, physical activity advice and support, including individualised exercise prescription, working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team. Providing expert physical activity advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, you will support children, young people and adults, across Cambridgeshire, to make informed decisions in relation to their weight, contributing towards a healthier lifestyle.

  • Providing high quality physical activity delivery within a community-based, weight management service.
  • Delivering one to one and group interventions, for adults and / or children who are overweight or obese, with potential co-morbidities / complex needs.
  • Providing exercise interventions across a range of weight management service tiers, and health and community settings with a minimum of two years’ practise.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • And have current REPs registration Level 3 for GP Exercise referral

Service Manager – Stop Smoking – Bristol

Full Time Role (40 hours per week).  Competitive Salary.

This role in the co-ordination of the Stop Smoking service across Bristol and will carry accountability and responsibility for KPIs being achieved.

Undertaking a leadership role, you will be responsible for service planning, development, implementation and co-ordination of Bristol’s Stop Smoking Service and managing a team by offering appropriate direction and guidance for all colleagues; ensuring training and development needs are assessed and appropriate training is provided.

If you are an excellent communicator who is enthusiastic, motivated, supportive and looking to make a difference to local communities, then this is the role for you.

We would like to hear from you, if you:

  • Public Health service management, delivering and leading community-based prevention and treatment services to a high quality.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Are flexible with good time management, project management, planning and organisation skills
  • Possess experience of identifying community skills, assets, issues and needs and involving communities in service evaluation and development
  • Are adept in using behaviour change models within a work context.
  • Are experienced in raising public awareness on issues relevant to the health of the community
  • Have extensive knowledge and experience of Stop Smoking Services, with sound understanding of multiple risk factors that can affect individuals, particularly those in the most vulnerable and deprived communities.
  • Possess experience in building strong links and relationships with a diverse range of groups, organisations and agencies
  • Can demonstrate an operational capability to plan, attend and run successful meetings and events

Stop Smoking Service Practitioner – Bristol

Full Time Role (40 hours per week).  Competitive Salary.

The stop smoking practitioner is responsible for supporting and facilitating the development of community based smoking cessation programmes.

Working in conjunction with a delivery team, you will be planning and delivering a dynamic and accessible smoking cessation service throughout Devon, in both one to one and group environments.

You will be improving accessibility of the Stop Smoking Service through the pro-active promotion of the smoking cessation programme and referral pathways amongst primary and secondary care services, other key health care providers, allied professionals, community development initiatives, local agencies and the general public. If you are enthusiastic, motivated and looking to make a difference then this is the role for you.

We would like to hear from you, if you:

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess a minimum of 1 year experience working in a community based smoking cessation service.
  • Are experienced in using behaviour change models within a work context.
  • Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the range and appropriate use of different smoking cessation interventions.
  • Display strong knowledge of the harmful effects of smoking, smoking as an addiction behaviour, withdrawal and relapse
  • Are an NCSCT accredited Stop Smoking Advisor
  • Are flexible with good time management and planning skills
  • Are interested in motivating and supporting both individuals and groups in community based settings.
  • Have experience of raising public awareness and healthy lifestyle messaging, on issues relevant to the health of the community through building strong links and relationships with a diverse range of groups, Organisations and agencies

coordinate our Stop Smoking service in East London.

This role requires you to be responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of a community based Stop Smoking Service. This is a critical role to ensure the successful implementation, management, development and continuous improvement of this exciting service.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team based in locations across East London to help improve the health and wellbeing of local communities through delivery of dynamic and integrated solutions.

The service offers support through screening, high quality behavioural support and pharmacological advice to specified adults who wish to stop smoking.
