Exciting opportunities are available for enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Health Trainers to support the integrated lifestyle service in the County/Borough of Cambridgeshire.  Based in local communities, these roles form an integral part of the service, reaching into communities and supporting individuals to make and sustain behaviour changes to improve their health and wellbeing.

Health Trainers provide support and practical information to individuals to assist them in making healthier lifestyle choices.  Working in communities,  you will be delivering NHS Health Checks, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging healthier eating and increasing levels of physical activity using a range of approaches and methods.  This role will promote access into the service, identifying, supporting and empowering behaviour change for all  individuals coming through the service.

Ideally, you’ll have experience or qualifications in healthy lifestyles, but mot importantly, you’ll be a natural and passionate motivator with excellent communications skills to engage with individuals on both a one to one and group basis, naturally building relationships with the local communities.

Physical Activity Specialists, Alive ‘N’ Kicking – Horley & Caterham – East Surrey

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Physical Activity Specialists with a passion and specialist interest in childhood weight management. This role will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of our Tier 2 childhood obesity, community based, weight management service ‘Alive ‘N’ Kicking’, for children aged 5-19 years delivered on behalf of Surrey County Council in community venues across Surrey.

Playing a pivotal role within the service, you will be responsible for providing high quality, physical activity advice and support, working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team. Providing expert physical activity advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, you will support children, young people and adults, across East Surrey, to make informed decisions in relation to their weight, contributing towards a healthier lifestyle.

Exciting opportunities are available for experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Nutritionists with a passion and specialist interest in weight management including maternity services. These roles will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of the multidisciplinary service for overweight and obese patients in Nottinghamshire’s integrated ‘ChangePoint’ service. This community-based, multi component service offers a personalised care package for adults and children, including families, with a focus on those overweight or obese, including those that are due to under-go weight loss surgery and those that are at high risk of obesity, providing psychological support, increasing physical activity and advice on maintaining a balanced and healthy diet.

Playing a pivotal role within this multi-component, integrated service, you will be responsible for providing high quality patient-centred, timely and cost-effective care within the Tier 2 and / or Tier 3 service (depending on experience), working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team.   Providing expert dietetic advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, you will support children, young people and adults across Nottinghamshire to make informed decisions in relation to their weight, contributing towards a healthier lifestyle.
