Exciting opportunities are available for experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Physical Activity Specialists with a passion and keen interest in weight management. These roles will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of the new Child Weight Management Service in Hackney. This community-based, multi component service offers a personalised care package for children from 5 – 19 years of age, and additionally to the age of 25 with SEND, with a focus on those overweight or obese, and those who are at high risk of obesity. This service is delivered by an expert multi-disciplinary team, providing advice on healthy eating and physical activity.

Playing a pivotal role within this service, you will be responsible for providing high quality, physical activity advice and support, including NICE Compliant Children’s Weight Management group delivery working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team. You will provide expert physical activity advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, to support children and their families, in the London Borough of Hackney to make informed decisions in relation to their weight.

Nutritionist – Children’s Weight Management, Hackney

Exciting opportunities are available for an experienced, enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated nutritionist with a passion and specialist interest in weight management. This role will contribute to the development, provision and coordination of a new multidisciplinary service for overweight and obese children in Hackney. This community-based, service offers a personalised care package for children, from 5 – 19 years of age, and additionally to the age of 25 with SEND, with a focus on those who are overweight or obese, providing psychological support, increasing physical activity and advice on maintaining a balanced and healthy diet.

Playing a pivotal role within this multi-component, integrated service, you will be responsible for providing high quality patient-centred, care working within a multi-disciplinary specialist weight management team.  Providing expert nutritional advice, underpinned by a sound knowledge of theoretical principles of behaviour change, you will support children and their families across the London borough of Hackney to make informed decisions in relation to their weight, contributing towards a healthier lifestyle.
